Officials are investigating a crash in the area of Lancaster Pike at Hercules Road in Wilmington.
The intersection is currently closed in both directions due to the ongoing investigation. Initial reports indicate that the incident involves a fatality.
Initial reports from the scene indicate that an SUV was discovered off the road, having descended an embankment and coming to rest in a creek. Responding crews found an individual deceased at the scene.
The initial reports also indicated that the accident may have occurred days ago. Sources Tell FSU that Wilmington Police Detectives have responded to the scene which is outside of the city.
