Man Shot During Dover Home Invasion

The Dover Police Department is investigating a home invasion shooting that left a 31-year-old male from Dover injured early Wednesday morning.

Officials said the investigation began at 12:44 a.m. when the Dover Police Department was called to a residence in the 100 block of Old Forge Drive for the report of a shooting. Officers arrived on scene and located the victim, a 31-year-old male, who had sustained a gunshot wound in his upper body.

The victim was transported to Bayhealth Kent Campus for treatment. The investigation showed that three black males entered the residence armed with firearms by kicking the back door in and once inside, shot the victim police said. No other injuries were reported as a result of this shooting and the suspects were gone when Police arrived.

The suspects are described as black males wearing masks. No other description is available at this time.
