Man Airlifted After Crash In Dover Monday

A severe motor vehicle accident took place on Monday afternoon, leading to a head-on collision that also involved one vehicle striking a utility pole. The incident, which occurred around 2:20 PM near the intersection of 505 Bay Road and South Little Creek Road in Dover, necessitated an extensive emergency response due to the entrapment of one patient.

The Dover Fire Department, St Francis EMS, additional medical personnel, and Delaware State Police Aviation’s Trooper 4 were dispatched to the scene. First responders discovered at least one individual trapped within the wreckage.

The extrication was completed and the male patient was transported to the Christiana Emergency Room Trauma Center by Trooper 4. It’s not clear if the other driver sustained any injuries.
