Early Friday morning, shortly after 3:10, rescue crews , together with officers from the Wilmington Police Department, were dispatched to the 700 block of N Madison Street following reports of a shooting.
According to initial reports from the scene, a female victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
Emergency medical services transported the woman to the trauma center. Details regarding the nature of her injuries remain undisclosed at this time.
