Violent Delaware Pursuit Closes I-95 In Both Directions In PA

Wilmington Police were involved in a pursuit of a wanted female suspect believed to be armed just before 11:45 AM on Tuesday. As the chase unfolded there were reports that the suspect reportedly rammed at least three patrol vehicles.

The chase traveled north along I-95, during which there were unconfirmed reports of shots being fired during the incident, but it remains unclear who discharged the weapons.

We’re told the pursuit concluded just north of the Commodore Barry Bridge exit, and it appears the situation may have escalated into a barricaded suspect incident, at least initially. Both Pennsylvania State Police and Delaware State Police are also assisting.

I-95 is currently closed in both directions.

Details are still emerging, and efforts are ongoing to gather more information on this developing story.
