The Delaware State Police are investigating a robbery that occurred early Thursday morning at a New Castle area Dash In gas station.
Officials said on June 6, 2024, at approximately 4:55 a.m., troopers responded to a report of a robbery at the Dash In located at 154 North Dupont Highway in New Castle. The preliminary investigation showed an unknown white male suspect entered the Dash In and demanded the employee empty the cash register while lifting his shirt to reveal a handgun.
The employee complied and the suspect fled on foot towards the Airport Plaza Shopping Center with an undisclosed amount of cash.
