Crash Closes Road For Hours In Kent County

Delaware State Police are investigating a crash that closed a Kent County road for hours on Saturday.

At 2:33 PM, a serious crash occurred at the intersection of Probst Lane and Westville Road in Camden-Wyoming. Initial reports indicate that a truck overturned at a bend in the road, rolling over into a ditch and trapping the occupant under the vehicle.

Emergency response units from Camden-Wyoming, Dover, along with Kent County Paramedics and Delaware State Police Aviation’s Trooper 2, were dispatched to the scene.

The Delaware State Police issued a statement advising that Westville Road in the area of Probst Lane was closed due to the serious nature of the crash. They urged motorists to seek alternate routes to avoid delays.

Details regarding the injuries sustained in the crash have not yet been released. The road remained closed for several hours as police conducted their investigation into the incident.
