Man Flown To Trauma Center After Rollover Crash Near Marydel Wednesday

Delaware State Police are investigation a rollover crash that injured a man Wednesday afternoon near Marydel.

Emergency response teams from Marydel and Hartley Fire Companies, along with Kent County Paramedics and Delaware State Police Aviation’s Trooper 4, were dispatched to a single-vehicle rollover incident at approximately 1:14 PM. The accident occurred on Westville Road in Camden Wyoming, Delaware.

Initial reports indicated that the driver was trapped inside the overturned vehicle. However, while en route to the scene, responders were updated that the driver was no longer trapped in the wreckage. Upon arrival, crews confirmed that a single vehicle had overturned and quickly set up a landing zone for Trooper 4.

Preliminary information suggests the vehicle rolled over at a speed of approximately 50 MPH. The patient has been transported to Christiana Hospital for further evaluation and treatment. The extent of the injuries remains unknown at this time.
