At Least Two Injured In House Fire Saturday Afternoon

A house fire on the 1700 block of Newport Gap Pike left as many as three individuals injured Saturday afternoon, with at least two transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene at approximately 2:47 p.m. for reports of a house fire.

Upon arrival, firefighters reported fire visible from the structure. Crews initiated an attack to bring the flames under control. After successfully extinguishing the main body of the fire, teams remain on-site to address hot spots and conduct overhaul operations.
