Fight At Seaford Park Turns Fatal As Gunfire Erupts, Three Others Injured

Delaware State Police are investigating a homicide that occurred yesterday at a park in Seaford.

Officials said on March 12, 2025, at approximately 4:24 p.m., officers from the Seaford Police Department and Delaware State Police responded to a report of a shooting at Nutter Park, located at 712 Collins Avenue within the city limits of Seaford.

When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered a 23-year-old Seaford man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds and began life saving efforts. The victim was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital, where he died from his injuries. His identity is being withheld until his family is notified.

Two other men, ages, 19 and 21, self-transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. A 23-year-old man also self-transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries related to the shooting.

Due to the nature of the incident, the Seaford Police Department requested the Delaware State Police Homicide Unit to assume the investigation. A preliminary investigation revealed that during a large fight, unidentified suspects fired multiple rounds at the victims.
