The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit is continuing its investigation into a murder-suicide in Frederica that claimed three lives.
On August 6, 2025, at approximately 10:57 p.m., troopers were dispatched to Lorna Drive in the Highpoint Mobile Home Park for a welfare check. Upon arrival, they discovered 18-year-old Ethan Christensen and 81-year-old Linda Hyman, both of Frederica, deceased from apparent gunshot wounds. A third individual, identified as 53-year-old Staci Marie Christensen, also of Frederica, was found with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials said detectives determined that Staci Marie Christensen was responsible for the shootings before taking her own life. The investigation remains active as the Homicide Unit continues to review the circumstances surrounding the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective A. Bluto at 302-741-2859.
