Police are investigating a crash that occurred Monday morning at the intersection of Barley Mill Road and Montchanin Road in Wilmington.
A male rider was injured when the motorcycle he was riding, collided with a vehicle and was thrown onto the hood according to reports from the scene. Emergency crews responded, and the rider was taken to Christiana Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
The scene has since been cleared and the roadway reopened.
