Crews Respond To Reports Of Stabbing In Newark

Emergency crews responded Thursday morning to a reported stabbing in the Lexington Square development near Newark.

Just before 9:15 a.m., firefighters, paramedics, and law enforcement officers were dispatched to a residence in the 500 block of Old Harmony Road for reports of a stabbing.

While units were en route, dispatchers advised responding personnel that a possible assailant may still have been at the scene.

Initial reports indicate at least one person may have been stabbed. The condition of the victim has not been released.

No additional information was immediately available. Authorities remain on scene and the investigation is ongoing.
