Young Man Killed In Accident Friday Morning

File

A 25-year-old Seaford man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Friday morning in Seaford.

The crash occurred at approximately 6:40 a.m. on July 10, 2026, as the man was driving a Hyundai Veloster southbound on Hastings Farm Road, north of Coverdale Road. Investigators said the vehicle was traveling at an apparent high rate of speed when, for reasons that remain under investigation, it left the east side of the roadway.

After leaving the road, the Hyundai struck a chain-link fence, collided with a parked vehicle in a private driveway, overturned, and then struck a tree.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is being withheld until his family has been notified.

Hastings Farm Road was closed for an extended period while members of the Delaware State Police investigated the crash and cleared the scene. The investigation remains ongoing.
