New Castle – The New Castle County Police (NCCPD) are currently investigating a shooting that damaged a home and a car in the community of Buena Vista, according to NCCPD Spokeswoman Tracy Duffy.
Duffy said on Monday, April 25, at approximately 9:55 p.m., New Castle County Police responded to the unit block of Liborio Lane, in New Castle, in reference to a shots fired complaint. Officers arrived to find the front of the home damaged with projectiles.
Upon further investigation, officers noted the projectiles traveled through windows on the first and second floors and came to a rest in the dining room and a second floor bedroom. A car parked in front of a home nearby was also damaged by the gunfire, said Duffy.
The occupants of the home were uninjured.
