New Castle County Police Clear Multiple Burglaries With Arrest

New Castle County police have arrested Thomas Lowe in connection with numerous burglaries and related crimes in Wilmington and Newark, according to police.

Police said that during the first two weeks of August, 2016, New Castle County Police Patrol officers responded to ten ten burglaries and a trespassing complaint involving thefts from motor vehicles. Through their investigation, officers recovered evidence and developed Thomas Lowe as a suspect, police said.

Officers served a search warrant at Thomas Lowe’s residence in the 700 block of Seymour Road in Bear, and discovered evidence that further bolstered the case, according to officials.

Investigators said that on Tuesday, August 23, Thomas Lowe was located and subsequently arrested by members of the Mobile Enforcement Team for active warrants pertaining to this investigation.

Two (2) incidents occurred in the community of Grendon Frams, four (4) in Murray Manor, two (2) in Elmwood, one (1) in Penndrew Manor, one (1) in Heritage Farm and one (1) in Eastburn Acres, police said.

Thomas Lowe was charged with ten (10) counts of burglary in the third degree, four (4) counts of felony theft, seven (7) counts of misdemeanor theft, misdemeanor trespassing and unlawful use of a credit card. He was arraigned and committed to Young Correctional Institute after failing to post $44,001 secured bail.
