Tractor Trailer Overturns In Millsboro

Millsboro – Delaware State Police continue to investigate a single vehicle crash involving an overturned tractor-trailer that occurred this morning, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Jeffrey R. Hale.

Hale said the investigation has determined that the crash happened at approximately 5:38 a.m., Saturday, October 8, 2016, as Joseph W. Millman, 43, of Greenwood, DE, was operating a 2001 Freightliner tractor, hauling a full load of feed , and was traveling in a northbound direction on Millsboro Highway approaching the intersection of Cowhouse Branch Road, Millsboro. The tractor-trailer then drifter off of the east edge of the roadway where it then struck a traffic sign before overturning in a ditch where it came to rest.

Joseph Millman, who was properly restrained at the time of the crash, was not injured. He was cited by troopers with Inattentive Driving.

Millsboro Highway between Cowhouse Branch Road and Nine Foot Road was closed to traffic for approximately 6 hours as the crash was investigated and cleared. It has since been re-opened.
