Christmas Eve Bandit Robs New Castle Gas Station

 

New Castle – Delaware State Police are currently investigating the robbery of a New Castle area Shell gas station that occurred last night, according to Delaware State Police Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Gary Fournier.

Fournier said that at approximately 8:00 p.m., Saturday, December 24, 2016, a man entered the Shell gas station located at 299 Christiana Road and demanded money from the clerk. The employee complied with the suspect’s demands and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash to the man, said Fournier.  The suspect then exited the business and fled toward the rear of the business. The clerk was uninjured in the incident.

The suspect was described as a black male, 20-25 years of age, 5’10”-6’00” tall, 150-180 lbs., last seen wearing a dark colored jacket and pants, and a mask over his face. Fournier said that no weapon was displayed during the robbery.
