Man Shot Multiple Times In Wilmington

Wilmington – On Monday, February 20, 2017 at approximately 4:34 p.m., Wilmington Police Officers responded to the area of Vandaver Avunue and N. Locust Street in reference to a shots fired complaint, according to Wilmington Police.

wilmington-shootingOfficials said the first arriving officers located a shooting scene in the 2200 block of N. Locust Street. Assisting officers located a 29-year-old male victim in the 800 block of Vandever Avenue who was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to one his shoulders as well as his buttocks area.

The victim was treated on scene by New Castle County Paramedics and transported to the Christiana Hospital Emergency Room in fair condition.
