17-Year-Old Trapped After Hitting Tree On Cox Neck Road, Flown To Hospital

Volunteer Fire companies were dispatched to the 800 block of Cox Neck Road for a motor vehicle crash with a report of entrapment, according to authorities.

Upon arrival, County Paramedics found a 17-year-old male, confined to his vehicle. The vehicle struck a tree with major vehicle damage. Fire personnel were able to extricate the patient after 15 minutes. The patient has injuries to his leg and body wide abrasions. The patient was transferred to Christiana Hospital via Delaware State Police helicopter.

Delaware State Police are investigating the accident.
