Man Stabbed Three Times, Suspect Arrested

Dover – The Dover Police Department arrested 21-year-old Daeshawn Shouman for Assault 2nd Degree and Possession of a Deadly Weapon During Commission of a Felony after he stabbed a 26-year-old man during a verbal altercation on Sunday morning, according to M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman, Public Information Officer.

Hoffman said that victim and Shouman were engaged in a verbal argument in the 1200 Block of Harrison Drive, when it became physical and spilled onto the sidewalk and roadway.

Shouman then stabbed the victim three times in the back with a pocket knife, according to Hoffman.. The victim was treated and released with non-life threatening injuries at Bayhealth Kent General Hospital.

Shouman was released on a $45,000 bond.
