61-Year-Old Woman Flown To Hospital After Accident


Newark – At approximately 4:30 p.m., New Castle County Paramedics and Christiana Fire Company were dispatched to the intersection of Salem Church Road and Cornell Drive in Newark for a motor vehicle crash with a rollover.

Upon County Paramedics arrival, the patient, 61-year-old female, was in care of fire personnel from Christiana Fire Company. The patient was the driver of the overturned vehicle and able to remove herself from the vehicle. The patient was treated for head, neck and arm injuries. The patient was transported to Christiana Hospital via Delaware State Police helicopter. The patient was in serious condition at the time of transport.
