Fuel Truck Leak Causing Road Delays In Milford

Milford – Officers from the Milford Police Department’s Patrol Division received a report of a transport truck leaking fuel on US Route 113 from Johnson Road (CR 207) to the area of Northwest 10th Street.

A responding officer was able to locate the suspected vehicle in the parking lot of Wawa on US Route 113. The vehicle is a municipal hauler from New Jersey. Felton Fire Company (HAZMAT 48),

Delaware Department of Natural Resources, City of Milford Public Works, and Delaware Department of Transportation officials are currently working on cleaning up the spill.

Police urge motorist to avoid the area and to expect delays if you have to travel in that area. This investigation will be turned over to the Delaware Department of Natural Resources.
