Fuel Truck Overturns On Kirkwood Highway

Pike Creek – Yesterday May 1, 2017, at around 7:00 am a fuel truck overturned as it was attempting to back out of a driveway onto Kirkwood Highway. The overturned truck caused a minor spill but no injuries were reported.

State Police, Aetna Hose, Hook & Ladder, Mill Creek and Cranston Heights fire companies responded, Belvedere Fire Company hazmat unit along with DNREC’s Emergency Response Team worked the scene until the truck was righted using large tow trucks.

One westbound lane was closed while officials investigated the accident.
