Man Shot In Wilmington In Stable Condition

Wilmington – On Monday May 1, 2017 at approximately 7:50 pm, Wilmington Police Officer’s responded to the area of Maple Street and Porter Street in reference to a shooting investigation.

Arriving officer’s were unable to locate a victim or a shooting scene. Within minutes, dispatch was notified that a 20-year-old male shooting victim had arrived via private vehicle to the St. Francis Hospital suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to his abdominal area.

The victim is described as in stable condition.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident remain under investigation. Anyone with information relative to this investigation is asked to call Detective Matthew Geiser at 302-576-3667.
