Newark – Newark Police Department (NPD) is investigating a shoplifting that occurred on 5/22/17 at 4:49 p.m. at Gamestop, located at 326 Suburban Drive. An employee reported that she was

showing a customer a game console, valued at $280, at the front counter when he grabbed it and fled out of the store, according to NPD Spokesman Lt. Fred Nelson.

Nelson said the male entered the rear of a brown Toyota Corolla, which fled the area. A review of surveillance footage revealed that a second subject, who was with the first subject, concealed and stole a Pop! Figure, valued at $11.99.
