Video: Woman Trapped In Car Flown To Hospital

Wilmington – Just after 11:40 p.m. today, Friday, New Castle County Police and Paramedics along with rescue crews from Brandywine Hundred Fire Company responded to the 1000 block of Greenway Road for a report of an injury accident.

Arriving crews found an elderly woman trapped in her vehicle due to a rollover. The vehicle had come to rest on it’s side after leaving the road and striking a tree.

Rescue workers used the “Jaws Of Life” to gain access to the patient, removing the top of the car. The woman was then transported by Brandywine Hundred ambulance to an awaiting Trooper 4 (Delaware State Police Aviation).

Once the woman was placed onboard Trooper 4 transported her to the hospital. Injuries are unknown at this time.
