Fate Of Off-Duty Milford Police Officer Unclear

Milford – Just after 8:00 p.m. last evening, Saturday June 17, 2017, Milford Police responded to a home for reports of shots fired, according to reports from the scene.

The reports indicated that a patient at the home was suffering from a gunshot wound and CPR was being administered. It’s not clear what the condition of the patient was after treatment but there was no indication that a patient was transported to the hospital.

Witnesses at the scene said that a Milford Police officer lives at the residence. Property records confirm that a person with the same name as a Milford Police officer lives at the home.

Police and ambulance crews remained on scene for hours after the initial call for service came out.

During a call to the Milford Police Department last night police said “we do not have anything on that at this time” when asked about the shooting.

We will update this story if more information becomes available.
