High Impact Crash Closes 141, Sends One To Hospital

New Castle – Just after 8:00 p.m. last night State Police along with rescue crews responded to the Route 141 overpass at I-95 NB for a report of an injury accident.

Arriving crews found an injured woman who had been involved in a single vehicle accident. Reports from the scene indicate that the woman struck the Jersey Barrier on the driver side of the car. The impact caused the car to rotate counter clockwise while sliding, eventually coming to rest near a passing package delivery truck.

The woman was removed from the scene by an ambulance crew and transported to the hospital with unspecified injuries.

Troopers closed Route 141 NB for over an hour while they investigated the crash and cleared the scene.
