19-Year-Old New Castle Man Killed In Crash Identified


Elkton – On July 12, 2017 at approximately 3:50 PM, Troopers from the Maryland State Police North East Barrack responded to a fatal motor vehicle collision, which occurred on eastbound Pulaski Highway at Maloney Road, Elkton, Maryland.

Nicolas Ambrosino , 19-years-old of New Castle Delaware, later identified as the operator of a 1994 Honda motorcycle, was traveling eastbound on Pulaski Highway, prior to Maloney Road. A 1990 Cadillac sedan was attempting to cross over the eastbound lanes of Pulaski Highway, from northbound Maloney Road, when the Honda motorcycle collided into the driver’s side area of the Cadillac.

Elkton Police, Maryland State Troopers, along with the Singerly Fire Company quickly responded to the accident finding both the car and a motorcycle on fire, with two patients injured.

Maryland State Police said that Ambrosino was pronounced deceased at the scene by emergency medical personnel. The operator of the Cadillac was transported by Medevac to the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore Maryland, with non-life threatening injuries.

Pulaski Highway at the intersection of Maloney Road was closed for approximately 3 hours for Troopers to conduct their investigation. The investigation is continuing at this time. Anyone who may have witnessed the collision is asked to contact the North East Barrack at 410-996-7800.
