Laurel – Delaware State Police is currently investigating a serious motor vehicle crash that occurred this evening in Laurel, according to a Delaware State Police (DSP) spokesman.
DSP tells First State Update that the initial investigation has determined that the crash occurred at approximately 9:20 p.m. on US Rt. 13 (Sussex Highway) at Laurel Road and involves a motorcycle and a bicycle. As a result of the crash serious injuries have been sustained to the operator of the bicycle, according to DSP.
US Rt. 13 at Laurel Road was closed last night as police investigated the crash scene.
