County Cops Charge Three Suspects With Burglary, Conspiracy

New Castle County  – New Castle County Police (NCCPD) have arrested 20-year-old Colin McGowan, 24-year-old Darren Jeffcoat and 19-year-old Dashawn Reexes for burglary and multiple thefts from motor vehicles throughout New Castle County, according to NCCPD Spokeswoman heater Carter.

Carter said between the week of July 30th and August 3rd, New Castle County Police were dispatched to residents within the communities of Appoquin Farms, Thomas Landing II, Stonefield, and Llangolen Estates for burglary and thefts from motor vehicles.

On Thursday (August 3) Colin McGowan, Darren Jeffcoat and Dashawn Reexes were operating a vehicle in the Middletown community of Lakeside. A motor vehicle stop was conducted. During the stop, police observed evidence implicating them in the thefts, according to Carter. All three suspects were taken into custody without incident.

New Castle County Detectives are asking for residents who may live in these developments to check their cars and garages for any missing property and to contact Det. Mancuso at [email protected] or by calling 302-395-2743.

Colin McGowan was charged with second-degree burglary, 2 counts of felony theft, 10 counts of misdemeanor theft, 6 counts of misdemeanor conspiracy, felony conspiracy and criminal impersonation. He was arraigned and committed to Howard Young Correctional Institute after failing to post $24,000.00 cash only bail.

Darren Jeffcoat was charged with second-degree burglary, 2 counts of felony theft, 10 counts of misdemeanor theft, 6 counts of misdemeanor conspiracy, felony conspiracy and criminal impersonation. He was arraigned and committed to Howard Young correctional institute after failing to post $27, 160.00 cash only bail.

Dashawn Reexes was charged with Second-degree burglary, 2 counts of felony theft, 10 counts of misdemeanor theft, 6 counts of misdemeanor conspiracy, felony conspiracy and criminal impersonation. He was arraigned and committed to Howard Young Correctional Institute after failing to post $24,250.00 cash only bail.
