Man Seriously Injured In Crash This Morning

Hockessin – This morning, at approximately 6:00 am, New Castle County Paramedics and personnel from the Hockessin and Mill Creek Fire Companies and Aetna Hose, Hook & Ladder were dispatched to the intersection of Limestone Road and Village Drive for a motor vehicle crash, with entrapment.

Arriving fire department personnel determined that there was no entrapment at the scene of a two vehicle crash. The patient, a 22-year-old male was evaluated on scene for chest, hip and head injuries. He also suffered body wide abrasions during the crash. He was transported to Christiana Hospital on board an ambulance from the Mill Creek Fire Company with New Castle County Paramedics accompanying.

The patient was in serious condition at the time of transport. Another patient from the crash was transported to Christiana Hospital for evaluation on board and ambulance from the Hockessin Fire Company. The crash scene was under the command of Hockessin Fire Company.

The Delaware State Police were on scene and are investigating the crash.
