Wilmington’s Top Cop Is Officially Sworn In On Monday

Wilmington – Wilmington’s Police Chief, Robert Tracy was sworn in on Monday, during an official ceremony at the Chase Center in Wilmington.

Tracy became Wilmington’s top cop nearly seven months ago, but he was required to become certified in Delaware before he could be sworn in as an officer.

Tracy, a careered law enforcement officer, finalized his Delaware Council on Police Training certification requirements last month, clearing the way for his swearing in.

Several other officers were also were promoted in rank and recognized during Monday’s ceremony.
