Authorities Update Saturday’s Rollover Crash In Middletown

 

Middletown – At approximately 7:50 am on Saturday, December 1, 2017,  New Castle County Paramedics, Volunteer Hose Company of Middletown, Odessa Fire Company, and Delaware State Police helicopter were dispatched to the intersection of Summit Bridge Road and Beaston Road for a motor vehicle crash, according to Paramedic First Class Yvonne Russell.

Russell said upon arrival New Castle County Paramedics found a three car motor vehicle crash. A 44-year-old male was found in care of emergency medical technicians (EMT’s). That patient suffered injuries to his neck and abdomen. The patient was transported to Christiana Hospital via Delaware State Police helicopter. The patient was in stable condition at the time of transport.

A second patient was transported by ground ambulance to Christiana Hospital in Middletown with non life-threatening injuries, according to reports from the scene.

 

Breaking Report

Middletown – Rescue crews from the Volunteer Hose Company of Middletown, along with Delaware State Police and Trooper 4 (Delaware State Police Aviation) have responded to the Route 301 (Summit Bridge Road) in the area of Summit Airport for reports of a rollover crash with multiple patients.

Multiple ambulances crews have been responded to the scene. Trooper 4 will be utilized .

Route 301 is closed in both directions at this time.

Update

One patient has been flown via Trooper 4.

At least one additional patient has been transported by ground ambulance.
