Woman Hears Gunshots, Realizes She’s Shot In The Back

Wilmington – On Saturday, December, 2 2017, Wilmington Police Officers responded to the Unit Block of W. 27th Street for a report of ‘shots fired’, according to police.

Officials said that upon officers arrival, they located a 19-year-old female victim suffering from a gunshot wound to her back. She was conscious, alert, and was speaking to officers.

The female victim was located in the block when she heard several rounds of gun fire, then realized that she had been shot in the back.

The victim was treated on scene by New Castle County Paramedics, before being transported to the Christiana Hospital, where she is listed in stable condition.
