Man Robbed At Gunpoint In Dover Downs Parking Lot

Dover – The Dover Police Department is investigating an armed robbery of a 34-year-old man that occurred on Friday night, according to M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman, Public Information Officer.

Hoffman said at approximately 10:35 pm, the male victim was unlocking his bicycle from the rear of his vehicle in the parking lot of Dover Downs, 1131 N. DuPont Highway, when he was approached by three male suspects. One of the suspects displayed a handgun and demanded money, said Hoffman.The victim told the suspects he did not have cash on his person, but gave his cell phone. The suspects then fled in an unknown direction.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Dover Police Department at (302)736-7130. Callers may remain anonymous.
