Can You ID This Guy? Newark Police Say He Stole A Man’s Wallet

Newark – On Sunday February 25, 2018 at 7:39 p.m. the Newark Police responded to the Wawa located on Ogletown Road for a report of a theft of a wallet, according to Sgt. Gerald Bryda.

Bryda said officers made contact with the 52-year-old male victim who stated that he placed his wallet on the checkout counter and briefly walked away. When he returned several seconds later, his wallet was missing.

Duting the investigation officers reviewed the incident on the store’s surveillance system. Officers observed a male standing behind the victim as he places his wallet on the counter, according to Bryda. The suspect places the wallet in his pants pocket and leaves the store, added Bryda.

The suspect is described as a wearing an orange and blue flat brimmed hat, an orange V-neck t-shirt, tan colored pants and a necklace. The suspect left the Wawa in a white 4-door SUV.
