Newark Auto Accident Sends Three To Hospital, One By Air

Newark – At approximately 3:50 pm, New Castle County Paramedics, Aetna Hose, Hook and Ladder Company and Delaware State Police helicopter were dispatched to the 1600 block of Otts Chapel Road in Newark for a motor vehicle crash involving multiple patients, according to Paramedic First Class Yvonne Russell.

Russell said upon arrival New Castle County Paramedics found 3 patients. The first patient, 2-year-old female, suffered no injuries. The patient was transported to Christiana Hospital via Aetna Hose, Hook and Ladder Company ambulance accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics. The patient was in stable condition at the time of transport.

The second patient, 53-year -old female, suffered injuries to her head, abdomen and wrist. The patient was transported to Christiana Hospital via Delaware State Police helicopter accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics. The patient was in stable condition at the time of transport.

The third patient, 52-year-old female, suffered injuries to her neck. The patient was transported to Christiana Hospital via Aetna Hose, Hook and Ladder Company ambulance accompanied by emergency medical technicians (EMT’s). The patient was in stable condition at the time of transport.
