Falling Snow And Ice Injures Pedestrian On Main Street In Newark

Newark – Just after 3:30 yesterday afternoon firefighters from Aetna Hose, Hook, and Ladder, along with Newark Police responded to the 100 block of Main Street for reports of an injured person.

Upon arrival crews found a 48-year-old man who was injured when snow and ice apparently fell from a rooftop and struck him.

Reports from the scene indicate that the man was injured but was conscious and alert. He was transported to Christiana Hospital with undetermined injuries.
