Head-On Collision In Bear Sends Four To Hospital

Bear – Just after 4:30 this afternoon rescue crews from the Christiana Fire Company, along with Delaware State Police responded to the intersection at Porter Road and Wrangle Hill Road for reports of a high velocity crash.

Upon arrival, crews found two vehicles that had collided in a head-on collision just south of the intersection.  In addition to the ground crews, Trooper 4 (Delaware State Police Aviation) was dispatch to the scene.

Initial reports from the scene indicate that crews found four patients in need of medical care. After evaluating all four patients crews determined that all four would be transported by ground.  Trooper 4 was recalled and was not utilized.

All four patients were transported to Christina Hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Delaware State Police continue to investigate.
