Pedestrian Struck On Kirkwood Highway In Stable Condition

Wilmington – Yesterday afternoon, at approximately 1:10, New Castle County Paramedics and personnel from the Mill Creek Fire Company were dispatched to the intersection of Kirkwood Highway and Limestone Road, for a pedestrian struck.

Arriving County Paramedics found a 34-year-old in the roadway, who was struck by a vehicle, according to Paramedic Senior Corporal David J. McKinney, Jr.

The patient was evaluated on scene for head and facial injuries. He was transported to the Emergency Department at Christiana Hospital on board an ambulance from the Mill Creek Fire Company with New Castle County Paramedics accompanying.

The patient was stable at the time of transport.

The Delaware State Police were on scene and are investigating the incident.
