Red Light Cameras Coming Down In Newark, But Not For Long

Newark – The red light cameras located on South Chapel Street (Route 72), in front of Pencader Plaza, are coming down, but not for long.

This morning, contractors removed the cameras to make repairs. The cameras were damaged last Friday when a Jeep plowed through a utility pole, bringing down the wires.

Crews on scene said they expect to have the cameras back up by the end of the day.
