Newark – Around 5:00 yesterday afternoon, Delaware State Police responded to the Famous Footwear, located at 3110 Fashion center Blvd., for reports of robbery in progress.
A witness at the scene stated that four people entered the store and became involved in an altercation with a store employee. The employee was reportedly assaulted during the incident. It’s unclear if any property or cash was taken during the incident.
State Police are investigation the incident.

In December of last year a woman was robbed at gunpoint in the same area near the Christiana Mall.
