Happening Now: Crews Responding To Delaware River For Water Rescue

Delaware City – Rescue crews from the Delaware City and Port Penn Fire Companies are responding to the Delaware River in the area of the C And D Canal for a water rescue.

Initial reports indicate that a boat is in distress in the river.

Trooper 4 is currently over head search for the boat.

Reports indicate that the vessel has become stuck on a sand bar.

The three occupants will remain with the boat and wait for the tide.

No injuries have been reported.

This is the same area that crews were searching yesterday. This incident is not related to yesterday’s search.
