Newport – Route 141 is currently shutdown in both directions in Newport due to a serious motorcycle accident.
Trooper 4 has landed on the roadway awaiting the patient.
The rider will be transported to the trauma center.
Update 5:09 PM Trooper 4 has lifted off.
Southbound lanes have reopened. NB lanes still blocked.
Update 7:00 PM Troopers continue to investigate the accident. NB lanes remain closed.
Update: A check at 7:40 PM shows the northbound lanes have been reopened.
