Troopers Searching For Hockessin Bank Robbery Suspect

Hockessin – Delaware State Police are investigating a robbery at the Lantana Square M&T Bank that took place Wednesday afternoon, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Michael Austin.

Austin said the incident occurred at approximately 4:34 p.m., Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at the M&T Bank, located at 151 Lantana Drive, Hockessin.

A white male suspect approached the teller counter and presented a demand note to a 58-year-old female employee, said Austin. The employee complied with the instructions on the note and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash to the suspect, who then fled in an unknown direction. The employee was not injured as a result of the incident.

The suspect was described as a white male, 25-30 years of age, 5’6”-5’9”, 150-160 lbs., wearing all dark clothing.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Detective A. Tenebruso of the Troop 2 Robbery Unit at 302-365-8435.
