New Castle – Rescue crews from the Christiana Fire Company, along with New Castle County (NCC) Paramedics and Delaware State Police have responded to Route 273 and Appleby road for an injury crash.
Early indications are that this accident may involve a motorcycle.
Update 9:59: The Delaware State Police have just released a short statement “Troopers are on the scene at Rte 273/Appleby for a collision involving a motorcycle. The Road is shut down. Please use caution and avoid the area.”
Ambulance crews are en route with the patient to the Christiana Hospital Trauma Center, with NCC Paramedics accompanying.
Additional reports indicate that a second accident may have occurred at this location as well.
We are working to gather more information regarding both incidents.
