Happening Now: Pedestrian Struck By Hit-And-Run Driver In Townsend, Flown To Trauma Center

Townsend – Just before 7:00 this morning rescue crews from the Townend Fire Company, along with New Castle County Paramedics, Delaware State Police and Trooper 4 (Delaware State Police Aviation) responded to the intersection of Oliver Guessford Road and Blackbird Forest Road for reports of a pedestrian struck.

Early indications are that upon arrival crews located a man suffering from injuries sustained when he was by struck by a hit-and-run driver sometime this morning.

The patient is currently en route via Trooper 4 to the trauma center at Christiana Hospital in Stanton.

Delaware State Police are currently on scene investigating.
