Just In: Women In Critical Condition After Fire Transported By Air

At approximately 10:00 last evening, New Castle County Paramedics, the Delaware State Police helicopter (Trooper 4), and members of the Christiana Fire Company were dispatched to the 1000 block of Benjamin Drive in Waterford Trailer Park for a burn patient, according to Paramedic First Class Yvonne T. Russell.

Upon arrival, New Castle County Paramedics found the patient, a 63-year-old female, who suffered burns to her face, hands, and chest. The patient was treated on scene and transported to Christiana Hospital via Trooper 4.

She was in critical condition at the time of transport, according to Russell.

Delaware Fire Marshal is investigating the incident.
